John Kay will be the keynote speaker at the upcoming Style Analytics Thought Leadership Forum, “ESG Factors at Work”.
Professor Kay’s 2012 work on the “Review of UK equity markets and long-term decision making” confirmed the absence and subsequent importance of transparency into asset management practices for institutional investors.
In this independent review, some of Kay’s recommendations included increasing transparency and communication into investment processes as well as, more understanding around the integration of ESG issues and how these are then implemented by fund managers. More recently, Kay’s work has focused on the evolution of transparency through regulation and whether enough has been done to support the investment community.
Creating transparency through comprehensive factor analysis on markets, peer groups and portfolios, including analysing ESG factors, is an area of focus for Style Analytics, helping the investment community validate and make strong investment decisions. This years forum will refocus on ESG, highlighting trends, innovations and the importance of ESG factor analysis, which continues to be essential in today’s market.
